Our CSP Service users in Addlestone who have been working hard with EdAble were nominated for a Volunteers Award! They attended this prestigious event on Wednesday 5 June at the University of London in Royal Holloway, along with the creator of EdAble, Suzanne. EdAble was started when Suzanne recognised that the high volumes of food that was going to waste and being thrown out was actually still suitable to eat. From her own experience with learning disabilities, she was also passionate about providing opportunities to people with learning disabilities and Autism. She married these two passions together, and EdAble was born. The volunteers use these ingredients to prepare healthy and tasty three-course meals, and serve them to the community at a small cost. They will also be catering for their first large event of 140 people for Surrey County Council on Monday.
We are very excited and extremely proud of our service users who have done an amazing job cooking delicious meals from scratch. Well done team!
