CSP Leatherhead have been helping out at Book Potato since March. They were a new business opening in the area so the guys popped in to introduce themselves and explain what they do at CSP. Book Potato were happy for the extra help, and to support other local community projects. Carrie and Tom from Book Potato then went into CSP to meet everyone and tell them about what they were going to be doing at the shop, which really got everyone excited. Tracy, who runs Leatherhead CSP, told us “Before they opened, we were delivering leaflets round the local area to help promote them, we also did this outside the shop in the lead up and on opening day. Since they have opened, we have been helping out by decorating the store with flowers, butterflies, superhero posters, bunting and most recently a rose display for each of the café tables. We go in during the week to help sort recycling, sorting secondhand books into categories, put books on shelves, and we have even helped check off deliveries (and some cake tasting). This week we reorganised the storeroom for them. The guys really enjoy going there and we pop in to see Carrie and Tom even when we are not due in on our way through town. At the moment we go on a Wednesday morning every week.”
A huge thank you to Tom and Carrie who have been great, and really support what we are trying to do at CSP. And a very well done to our guys who work really hard to help this brilliant book shop run. Book Potato was nominated earlier this year to win best bookshop to Leatherhead.
Please do pay our guys a visit there on a Wednesday and enjoy a cuppa!
