After nearly a year from the first idea to opening the doors, our new Community skills project centre is now up and running. As you can see from the above photo we have the big thumbs up from everyone here at Holbeach.
We knew what sort of building we were looking for, but nothing on the market seemed to meet our needs. Just as we were about to throw the towel in and give up, someone must have rubbed a magic lamp and released our Genie. Out of the blue, the property on Park Road, Holbeach became available.
After splashing with some paint and elbow grease, we were ready to open our doors at the end of November 2019.
Everyone is tremendously excited to be in our new building. Our community skills project now has a much bigger and brighter space. The centre will be able to cater for up to 20 people and will provide activities both within the centre and in the local community, which has been tailored to suit the needs of individuals. Our hugely popular community skills projects aim to improve the quality of life for people with learning disabilities and autism, by helping them to be independent and part of their own community.
Keep reading our blogs and your eyes peeled for our open day coming soon. This is when you will be able to visit the centre and take a peek into the amazing things we do.
